On October 25th, the 2nd BIPV Module and New Encapsulation Material Technology Seminar was grandly held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. HIUV emerged from a competitive field of leading companies in the BIPV sector, winning the prestigious "2023-2024 BIPV Industry Photovoltaic Material Innovation Technology Award." HIUV President Mr. Li Min was honored with the "2023-2024 BIPV Industry Outstanding Leadership Award." This recognition not only highlights HIUV’s strong position in the BIPV industry, but also reflects the high regard from industry peers for its advanced scientific research, innovation capabilities, and excellent product quality.
During the forum, HIUV was invited to present its report titled "HIUV Colored Film + PVE Driving BIPV Towards Colorful Distributed Solutions." The presentation addressed five major challenges faced by the BIPV industry, including low energy generation efficiency, high cost, etc. HIUV’s high-transparency, weather-resistant, eco-friendly colored materials offer a new, more efficient color solution for the industry with its high transparency, weather durability, variety of substrates, and diverse color and many other product characteristics.
HIUV’s colored film boasts 10%-25% higher light transmittance compared to traditional colored glazing, potentially increasing module power output by 8%-20%. These materials can be applied to building facades, gardens, balconies, rooftops, sunshades and other scenarios.
Taking a 200-square-meter villa system in China or a 100-square-meter rooftop system in Germany for example,it could gain an additional income of 100,000 RMB over 25 years when using HIUV’s colored film over traditional colored glazing. With comparative investment, the total income for the 200-square-meter villa system in China can reach 210,000 RMB, while the 100-square-meter rooftop system in Germany can reach 280,000 RMB, offering a higher cost-performance ratio.
Compared to conventional modules, HIUV’s colored film, in the case of a 200-square-meter villa system in China, requires just an additional investment of 5,000 RMB to enjoy the benefits of colorful value, with earnings only 29,000 RMB lower than traditional solutions.
In addition to the high-efficiency distributed color solution using colored film + traditional encapsulant, HIUV also showcased its high-reliability BIPV solution featuring colored film + PVE film. PVE, as an “upgraded version” of EVA, provides enhanced strength, making it a reliable choice for BIPV, and when combined with HIUV’s colored film, it makes BIPV even more vibrant.
In recent years, several PV giants, including LONGi, Jinko, Trina, and Canadian Solar, have initiated BIPV production capacity layouts. The lauch of HIUV’s the new colored film + PVE solution perfectly solves current market challenges and has garnered widespread recognition within the PV and BIPV industries. During the event, many customers accelerated their discussions about collaboration and placed orders for 2025. In the future, HIUV will continue to bring more innovations and breakthroughs to relevant industry applications, driving the healthy development of the industry.
